Only 17% of all small businesses ($100K-<$10MM in sales) are minority-owned (50%+ ownership), however, this segment is growing, up from 11% in 2013. While there are limited demographic and banking behavior differences between minority-owned and non-minority-owned companies, there are key differences in bank brand ratings, satisfaction and primary bank loyalty. Minority-owned companies also tend to have a harder time obtaining credit.

Join Barlow Research for a one-hour webcast as we share Voice of the Business Customer data and hear from Holly Hughes and Marlon Moore on organizational, staffing and supplier commitments related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

You will learn about:

  • Differences and similarities between minority-owned and non-minority-owned companies including demographics and banking service experiences
  • Credit application and approval/denial rates based on minority/non-minority-owned status
  • How banks are focusing internally on DEI
  • What banks are doing to support minority-owned businesses and why this is important

The presentation is designed for anyone involved in small business or business banking, relationship management, marketing, market research or line of business strategy.
