Eric has spent his career at the intersection of traditional financial services and fintech, serving as a successful operator, advisor, and investor. He joined Canapi Ventures as an operating partner after 13 years at Promontory Financial Group, where he was a Managing Director and Head of the Strategy and Optimization practice for the Americas. He advised fintechs, crypto firms, and traditional financial institutions with their business, regulatory, and risk management strategies. Eric was part of the founding team at Promontory Interfinancial Network (now IntraFi Network), a fintech that offers funding products, investment solutions, and liquidity management tools to the banking and brokerage industry.
Eric has also been an angel investor in several successful technology companies, including nCino. He is an adjunct professor at Georgetown, where he teaches corporate finance at the McDonough School of Business.
